Rondout tower was built by the Milwaukee Road and now is operated by the Canadian Pacific Railway. Rondout tower protects the crossing between the Canadian Pacific Railway and the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railway Company. Around the 1950's the interlocking machine was replaced with a CTC type panel, it is a Union Switch & Signal Style C panel.
