Storm Of 7-19-2006, St. Louis MO, 63125

This was the storm moving into the area, as we were leaving the storm hit.
Going green.
Here is my friends mailbox, the branch was not on it after the storm, but you can see the amount of leaves and limbs on the ground.
This is a tree in front of my aunts house, we could not call here because all the cell towers were not working. Kept getting "Network Busy" so we went over there to make sure she was ok. Police reported a tornado a few streets from here.
In one intersection all the stop light arms were turned the opposite direction and broken off.
We drove to KCS Yard in E. St. Louis Illinois and noticed none of the trains were moving which was weird. Then we drove back to the spot I take most pictures and found we were driving under low power lines and that the pole with the transformer was to the right of us. The wires were high enough we were able to get out.
The next pole down from the one above was also down. That was this pole, the wires were on the tracks. There was a 34Kv line that ran alone the street that was all on the ground also. You can see they closed the gates and there is another pole on the gate.
Here is a trailer blown against a chemical plants transmission pipes. Talk about UNSAFE. They were all running off generators, power was lost to over 400,000 in the St. Louis area.
This is one of the many crossing gate arms to be broken off that night, also note the one across the street is bent.
Heres another gate down the street.
Heres a side shot of the whole unit.
